Study: High Prevalence of Sleep Disorders in Yverdon-le-Bains
Researchers from EPFL and HEIG-VD in Lausanne report in their current study that people in Yverdon-les-Bains VD sleep particularly poorly. Over 90 percent of the study participants reported sleep disorders. “These figures should be a wake-up call for the health authorities,” says Phillippe Voruz, lead author of the study.

In 2022, a third of the population reported suffering from sleep disorders. This proportion has increased by 5 percentage points compared to 1997. The increase was particularly marked among women and young people between the ages of 15 and 39. Sleep disorders are closely related to mental and physical health. These are some of the findings from the new publication on sleep disorders from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
