Five new projects strengthen prevention of chronic sleep disorders
Sleep problems affect a large part of the population in Switzerland – with consequences for physical, mental, and social health. As part of the Project Funding Prevention in Healthcare (PGV), Health Promotion Switzerland is supporting five new projects that show how prevention and care can go hand in hand.
CSS Health Study 2025
This year, the CSS study examined the topic of sleep for the first time. It reveals that sleep presents challenges for a large majority of respondents. Young adults were particularly affected by poor sleep. Almost every second person (49%) reported often waking up unrefreshed.
SLEEPwindow Participants – Search for Scientific Study
The study investigates the effectiveness of two different formats of cognitive behavioral therapy for the treatment of insomnia (difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep).
Call for Proposals: Prevention in Health Promotion
Health Promotion Switzerland supports prevention projects in healthcare in the development and establishment phase. The focus is on people who are already ill or people with an increased risk of illness. The 2024 funding round is open. The focus topic is sleep.
